Sunkissed.

Black knit sweater via Crossroads Trading, Brown Brandy Melville dress, Gold H&M necklace, Brown leopard belt via Target (similar here), Arm candy: Gold vintage watch, Brown hexnut leather bracelet c/o LUXLA, Gold ASOS spike bracelet, Bordeaux Zara clutch c/o Hobo The Original, Gold arrow ring via Crossroads Trading, Black Steve Madden heels.

So I was soaking up the sun, or more so, every bit of summer I can get until its really gone -- the bay area has received a sweet present lately with this indian summer.  But I have also been gladly embracing the Fall season especially with fashion -- bordeaux is my all-time new fave color.  The color has even made it into my now faave bag from Hobo The Original -- this Zara leather clutch is the perfect size.  I recently took it along with me during my bday party, all essentials fit inside -- key, id/credit cards, lipstick, iPhone etc.
Also, happy to introduce my new beloved heels from Steve Madden.  They're simple and sweet -- definitely my style.

Hope you lovelies are doing well! As with life, I'm starting to get into the groove of things with work as well as juggling my love for fashion (and trying to pursue my dream job of styling).  The last two posts have shown some very exciting things happening with that :).  Collaborated with my favorite stores, Saks Fifth Avenue in a Blogger styling competition and T.J.Maxx + Refinery29 for a shopping feature.

So happy to now also share I'm going to be a part of (and also alongside other beautiful SF bloggers!) a Macy's Union Square Fall Trend Event hosted with Mandi Line, wardrobe stylist of TV Show, Pretty Little Liars!  (My guilty pleasure show!) ;). We'll be interpreting a trend we've been assigned with her onstage.

See details below.  If you're in SF, Saturday October 6th, would mean so much to see you Beautifuls there! PS. Even more exciting, if you mention my blog Inspirafashion upon arrival, you'll be able to get a $10 Macy's gift card! :)
Thanks so much again lovelies for all your amazing support.  Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Kathleen.

Refinery29 + T.J.Maxx Feature!

I was browsing on Refinery29 this morning (while BARTing to work) and saw the name "Kathleen Murillo," I thought to myself -- wow so crazy someone has the same name as me?!  Took a closer look, and the feature I collaborated with both Refinery29 and T.J.Maxx was up and running on the site! (am so happy to finally share with you lovelies this feature!) Looking through it, I was so pleased and excited on how everything turned out and came together.  Big shout-out & hugs to the amazing team behind this, Refinery29 NY and SF, Katie, Molly, Katie (Nash), Kei -- had such a fun time working with you beauties!

Stop by Refinery29 to see more of the feature, with my shopping/style tips and how to peruse through the wonderful (and stylish) ;) aisles of T.J.Maxx!

Happy Friday and TGIF!

Chevron.

Brown Karen Walker Super Duper Strength sunglasses, Red HM top, Silver accessories: HM necklace, Pyramid stud bracelet via T.J.Maxx, Vintage watch, leather tie bracelet c/o Maya Brenner, Turquoise ring c/o Mimi Boutique, Brown thrifted Bebe skirt via Crossroads Trading, Black clutch c/o Lancaster Paris, Brown Zara heels.

I saw this high-waisted skirt while thrifting and reminded me so much of Missoni with the cool chevron pattern.  I love finding unique and interesting pieces whenever out at vintage or thrift stores. Decided to accessorize with all silver and a pop of color with this gorgeous turquoise ring from Mimi Boutique.

I'm leaning more towards pencil skirts now that I'm working in a corporate office.  It's always a new feeling to dress for both work and on days I'm off -- this is kind of a hybrid outfit I guess ;P.  Just getting used to all different lengths and not wearing sheer etc. in that environment -- one day though hope to mix work and play in dressing up everyday!  (:crossing fingers: when I work at a fashion magazine in NYC?) ;).

How're you lovelies doing?? Apologies for hiatus, last weekend was my bday weekend!  Can't believe I'm 22 now, time seriously flies.  September also marks the 2nd year of Inspirafashion's bday!  I'm just really happy to say that I've had the most rewarding and amazing experience running this blog and having this journey with you Lovelies! And happy to say, I've met so many inspiring people along the way these past 2 years, including now really great friends in the blogosphere and in-person.  Big thank you and bear-hugs out to you all xoxo.

Have a lovely Monday and start of the week! Keep inspiring Beautifuls!

Light.

Blue HM floral top, Black maxi skirt thrifted via Wasteland, Black Zara heels.
Pink UO tank, White Forever 21 high-low skirt, Brown Karen Walker Number One sunnies.

Photos by Rosa Nguyen

These photos were taken the last month of being at UC Berkeley, makes me miss the campus so much. My lovely friend Rosa from Chroscenium took these amazing photos, she's so talented -- adore how beautifully she captures the light.  These were photos from a shoot for a Crossroads photo contest she previously entered, and got an honorable mention for, so proud! :)
These pics make me miss my long hair just a tad bit, but I'm still happy about the hair chop ;).
Anyways loves, hope your week's going well, we're half way there to Friday ;), hang in there.  Keep inspiring.

Kathleen.

Black and gold.

Outake shot, hair eating face lol
Brown Ralph Lauren blouse via Crossroads Trading, Gold black statement necklace via Crossroads Trading, Light blue Urban Outfitters high-waisted shorts, Vintage Chanel clutch, Tan Zara buckle wedges, Brown hexnut bracelet c/o LUXLA, Gold Coach and UO rings.

I've always loved a single statement piece, it can determine what other items to layer or incorporate in the outfit.  This gorgeous necklace from Crossroads Trading is out of this world amazing.  Decided to play off the black and gold color by wearing my printed Ralph Lauren blouse.  Kept it a bit more casual too with my distressed denim from Urban Outfitters.
And I just had to bring out my Zara wedges again, they've collected dust sadly in my closet.  They're really one of my all-time favorite purchases from Zara, unique and Chloe-esque.
P.S. Apologize about my crazy hair, it was super windy lol.  But at least with short hair it's less crazy than with my longg hair ;P.
----
Work has been cray busy, but despite that, I attended Fashion's Night Out this past Thursday with my fave blogger homegirl Chanda from PancakeStacker.  We party-hopped all over union square: Neiman Marcus, Saks, Kurt Geiger, Macy's, then Marc Jacobs.  Each place was different, had lots of fun at Macy's doing DIY Nails (or Phancy Phalanges) w/ the cutie duo Pams&kin and later a cool jungle theme photo-op at Marc Jacobs :).
How was FNO for you all?  Ah, btw, I'm super jelly of those all at NYFW right now!  But I'll live vicariously through all your tweets and IG posts ;).

Keep inspiring lovelies and have an amazing rest of your weekend!
♥, Kathleen.
