Pretty in pink: Refinery 29 and Maybelline Color Elixir Launch #MyLipMagic Pt. 1

Brown Aeropostale leopard scarf (similar style here), Light purple Brandy Melville sweater (similar style here), Ivory vintage Chanel purse, Purple Brandy Melville skirt (similar cute orange style here), Black Ivanka Trump knee-high suede boots, gold arrow ring via Crossroads Trading, Makeup: gifted to review Fuchsia Flourish Maybelline Color Elixir.

I've loved wearing lipstick ever since middle school (yep started that young with makeup!).  So to me lipstick/gloss has been one of my favorite signature makeup items I couldn't really leave the house without growing up. I usually wear red lipsticks, and this was a first trying out this pretty pink color from Maybelline. I absolutely loved the bright color and how well it brightened up a neutral outfit.  Here I styled this lipstick with lighter colors, light pinks, purples, and browns to not overpower the lipstick color.

It's been exciting to work with Refinery 29 and Maybelline for Maybelline's launch of their new collection, Color Elixir.  What's great about this product I haven't seen with others, is it's an all-in-one product: lipstick, lip gloss, and lip balm. When applying the lip product, it has a thick consistency which definitely helped with moisturizing my lips (essential for me -- my main issue is having dry lips).  When applying this product, I had to blot a little bit more, but this was only because I started out with applying a large amount of the lip gloss.  So I suggest applying a little in the beginning and then it will stay on perfectly. My favorite part about the color elixir is it has a beautiful pigmented color, here in a pretty fuchsia pink.

Overall, the fact its super moisturizing and the color is amazing, bright and fun (with a pretty shine), makes these Maybelline Color Elixirs so lovely especially with the holidays coming up!

I'm excited to share with you one more post after this on their launch! I'll be reviewing another color from their Color Elixir collection, the Signature Scarlet. Stay tuned this Wednesday for this next post of the two-part series!

Urban moto chic.

Black Nasty Gal cropped leather jacket, Blue lace dress c/o Choies (similar style here), Ivory vintage Chanel purse, 'Love' bracelet c/o Mimi Boutique, Black gifted Marc Fisher booties.

When I saw this blue lace dress from Choies, I loved how it had this trumpet hem along with hints of nude fabric and a crazy fun lace pattern.  It's so interesting, urban sporty yet feminine. I think my style is really gravitating toward this type of cool irony in fashion, sporty meets girly -- a neat twist all the time.
I decided to style this dress with a black leather jacket (btw, one of my all-time favorite new additions to my closet!), its so hard for me to find a nice fitted leather jacket, finally found one. I also added to this outfit some beautiful black suede booties from Marc Fisher. I accessorized with this cute 'Love' bracelet from Mimi Boutique and gold rings.

This past weekend has been so eventful, and in the best way possible -- I teamed up with a wonderful photographer and videographer, Tim Williams.  We had the shoot at Berkeley, found hidden gems everywhere -- seriously was the best working with him. I love partnering with different artists in fashion, it's such a great way to connect and create something amazing.  I can't wait to share with you lovelies!! It's going to be released along with my new blog redesign by my good friend and web designer, Richard Tom! Stay tuned lovelies by Thanksgiving week!

Romantic sporty.

Army green Zara jacket, Gold Chanel pin, Light pink Free People dress, Silver c/o Anjolee diamond tennis bracelet, Tan Zara sandal heels, Beige c/o Handbag Heaven Elise shoulder bag.

I wanted to create a very feminine romantic outfit yet with a sporty twist.  Here I paired this pretty lace dress with my structured moto jacket, interestingly mix of tweed and parka material.  For accessories (my favorite part of styling an outfit), I mixed light neutral tones.  I wanted to keep the palette light but with a cool factor with this gorgeous studded bag from Handbag Heaven.  I love how it's very spacious inside with a lot of compartments, very ideal for a working girl.  In addition, I paired the outfit with a beautiful element, this sparkly number from Anjolee, the diamond bracelet designs.  I love how on their website you can also customize the length and size (important for me having tiny baby wrists).
This month of October went by so fast! This Thursday for Halloween, I'm planning to go out again with my partner in crime.  It'll be a surprise of what we'll be then, follow my instagram to find out! :) This past weekend I had fun going to a Halloween party in the city and visiting a pumpkin patch with the boyfriend. Loving October so far! Next up, Thanksgiving. Hope you lovelies have a safe and fun Halloween!

P.S. I'm sooo very excited to share with you all my redesign coming soon by my really good friend Richard, to now Inspirafashionblog.com (btw, the url changed!)  And with this redesign, stay tuned for a video (and photos!) by Tim Williams, I'm collaborating with him to bring you guys a fun fashion video to showcase outfits I'm going to style.  Can't wait to share with you lovelies.

Red bloom.

Tan American Apparel cropped top (cute dark red version here), Silver c/o t+j Designs rhinestone collar necklace, Vintage Chanel crossbody purse, Tan c/o Filthy Magic skirt, Nude Zara sandal heels (similar style here), Gold ring via Crossroads Trading, Gold crown ring c/o Charlotte Russe.

Cropped tops will probably be a big part of my wardrobe for this fall, or any other season for that matter. I couldn't get enough too of this rhinestone collar necklace from t+j Designs, I decided to let it shine as the main accessory for this outfit, keeping all the other pieces neutral and light.  I haven't worn these Zara sandals in a while, but I love how the heel isn't that high and it has a simple silhouette. A simple outfit with some pretty flowers in the background.

Double collar.

Grey H&M dress (similar pretty pale blue version here), Silver c/o t + j designs jeweled collar necklace, Ivory vintage Chanel crossbody purse, Black Steve Madden Realove heels.

Collars -- I guess you can say I have a big love for them and decided to style not one, but two here with a "double-collar" effect.  I added a white collar shirt underneath this dress and had the collar peek out on top.  Then I layered underneath this gorgeous rhinestone jeweled collar necklace from t + j designs.  When I saw this necklace, immediately I knew it fit perfectly with my style -- for one, it has bright fun neon colors (on rhinestones!) and second, its a freakin' collar (yes it earns that type of exaggeration ;)..if you know me, I'm drawn to those types of collar tops/dresses).  I also decided to keep the rest of the accessories minimal and neutral with my vintage Chanel purse and black sleek sandal heels.

If you haven't yet, check out t + j designs and see their new collection of beautiful jewelry -- I'm currently coveting this necklace and ring.  Their jewelry picks are amazing..full of bright color, and most importantly, shiny sparkly goodness.

September is finally here and excited to say my birthday is coming up!  Two weeks to go and I'll finally be 23!  Time just keeps flying on by which is why I'm trying to take to heart the saying "Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by every moment that takes your breath away." ;) along with all my other motivational quotes in Pinterest.

Hope you lovelies are having a great week so far! Can't wait already for the weekend (lol, already in that weekend mode on a Tuesday). Lets get to Friday!

Keep inspiring Beautifuls!

Urban boho.

White lace top and gold rings via Crossroads Trading, Brown Urban Outfitters hat, Olive green slit maxi skirt c/o LuLu*s, Arm candy: White bracelets and watch c/o Charlotte Russe, Black Via Spiga sandal heels (similar one here), Ivory vintage Chanel purse.

If I could define one important part of my style, it'd be incorporating unique pieces into one look -- here I decided to pair this pretty lace top with a scallop hem from Crossroads Trading with this maxi skirt, including a high slit from LuLu*s, along with a set of gorgeous Charlotte Russe white and silver arm candy.  This is more of a laidback boho urban look.  I usually like mini skirts, but I think I've found a new love for maxi skirts -- perfect for the Fall season coming up. Can't wait to pair them with biker jackets and comfy cardigans / knit sweaters.

Hope you lovelies had a great labor day weekend! I went to Reno with the family and ended the weekend with a visit to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (haven't been in so long!), but enjoyed my favorite ice cream Dippin' Dots, brought me back to my childhood. Also, if you're stressed out being back at work or school, just think on the brightside there's only 4 days of the work week ;). Have a great short ;) week ahead.  Keep inspiring Beautifuls!

Fall forward.

Blue vintage Tommy Hilfiger jean jacket, Black Zara skirt, Brown crossbody bag c/o Hobo Bags, Brown leopard Steve Madden sandal heels, Gold vintage Chanel pin, Arm candy: Fossil watch c/o boyfriend, White bracelet and bow ring c/o Charlotte Russe, Gold statement bracelet c/o Wear It: Don't Bear It.

Fall is fast approaching, and sadly summer is ending :(, but at least I have Fall fashion to look forward to ;), which is my favorite season to dress up for.  I love all the layers, the darker colors, sweaters, prints, etc.  With this outfit I decided to style a comfortable casual outfit with my denim jacket, new Zara skirt (I love the shape of it) along with adding some cool leopard print with my Steve Madden heels.

For jewelry, necessities come with my arm candy, which also includes a new piece -- a charm statement bracelet by Wear It: Don't Bear It.  I recently partnered with the founder, Toby Milstein, who told me about her amazing project, Wear It: Don't Bear It.  It's such an inspiring effort -- the campaign gives back and supports families affected by gun-violence tragedies.
When you purchase this charm, 100% of the profits go to Bereaved Parents of the USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents and families who have lost their children.  I love how she combined fashion and humanitarianism into one initiative to bring a heartfelt yet powerful way to help pay it forward in our community.  Please check out Wear It: Don't Bear It here, and the shop -- help create positive change by making a statement :).
