Fall forward.

Blue vintage Tommy Hilfiger jean jacket, Black Zara skirt, Brown crossbody bag c/o Hobo Bags, Brown leopard Steve Madden sandal heels, Gold vintage Chanel pin, Arm candy: Fossil watch c/o boyfriend, White bracelet and bow ring c/o Charlotte Russe, Gold statement bracelet c/o Wear It: Don't Bear It.

Fall is fast approaching, and sadly summer is ending :(, but at least I have Fall fashion to look forward to ;), which is my favorite season to dress up for. I love all the layers, the darker colors, sweaters, prints, etc. With this outfit I decided to style a comfortable casual outfit with my denim jacket, new Zara skirt (I love the shape of it) along with adding some cool leopard print with my Steve Madden heels.

For jewelry, necessities come with my arm candy, which also includes a new piece -- a charm statement bracelet by Wear It: Don't Bear It. I recently partnered with the founder, Toby Milstein, who told me about her amazing project, Wear It: Don't Bear It. It's such an inspiring effort -- the campaign gives back and supports families affected by gun-violence tragedies.
When you purchase this charm, 100% of the profits go to Bereaved Parents of the USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents and families who have lost their children. I love how she combined fashion and humanitarianism into one initiative to bring a heartfelt yet powerful way to help pay it forward in our community. Please check out Wear It: Don't Bear It here, and the shop -- help create positive change by making a statement :).

Vidal Sassoon x Chictopia: "Show Your Genius" - Look 2: Sweet Glam

Second up to this Vidal Sassoon x Chictopia series,
"Sweet Glam, Night Out" Look
White Agaci polka dot dress, Red c/o Hobo International 'Zara' clutch, Tan c/o Steve Madden MARLENEE heels.

Here, I used these Vidal Sassoon products:
I wanted to have more fun with this look and was kind of inspired by (everyone's new fave movie) The Great Gatsby along with beachy hippie hair ;). And having short hair, I love curling it and having it reminiscent of those flapper girl 1920's hair styles. The hippie vibe came from creating the side braids.
In other words, Hippie meets Gatsby.

First, I used the Vidal Sassoon MOISTURE One Minute Mask, after applying to damp hair and combing through in the shower, I rinsed it thoroughly. After, I applied the Vidal Sassoon REPAIR Heat & Protect Shine Spray all over the ends before applying any heat to my hair. Right after blow drying, my hair felt so silky and soft, I could run my hand through it without any tangles. I then started to curl my hair alternating between inward and outward curls for volume. After each curl, I also applied the Vidal Sassoon EXTRA FIRM HOLD Hairspray which held the curls tightly without any frizzy hair as well. Next the curls helped to create the braids and hold them together too -- ended it off with tying them to the back with a little clip.

After styling my hair with curls all over, I decided to style it with a sweet party night out outfit. This white polka dot dress from Agaci was perfect for the hair style I created. Both the polka dot dress and curly hair were perfect for a sweet yet glam night look.

If you haven't yet, enter Vidal Sassoon's fun contest HERE -- share your own hair style look and be entered to win one of many prizes, $1,000 to complete your look, and a year's supply of Vidal Sassoon Pro Series! Also, feel free to check out my Chictopia posts on the series as well here.

Hope you lovelies enjoyed this two-part post! My very first set of beauty-meets-fashion posts :).
Keep inspiring Beautifuls!

Polka-dotted floral.

Navy thrifted Liz Claiborne polka dot blouse, Black c/o Crystal Hearts Vintage floral silk cardigan, Silver rings: Forever 21, Crossroads, Tan American Apparel chiffon skirt, Brown c/o Hobo International Candis bag, Black thrifted straw boater hat, Tan Sam Edelman Valin wedges.

Hi Lovelies!! I know it's been quite a while since I've posted, but better late than never right?! I've really missed you all so much...that's why been trying to KIT via my facebook and twitter on my off-days from the blog. Anyways, the Holidays took a big toll on me -- family parties, shopping for presents, the works.

But, back with a cool post! For this New Year, really want to change-up or moreover enhance my wardrobe..I want to challenge myself in fashion by trying to incorporate more prints and brighter colors in my everyday style. Sooo..first up -- prints! I've always loved from afar how ppl can convey the "print-on-print" trend so perfectly..but today, decided to try it for myself! I love this cardigan from Crystal Hearts Vintage, firstly because it has this cute floral design but also a unique silk fabric. Mixing floral and polka dots seemed like the best way to create a cute yet fun outfit.
Added silver accessories and boater hat for a laidback look, along with my trusty Hobo International Candis bag (I've used it to death..it has so many amazin' features -- bonus: lots of pockets!), and for comfort and height wore my Sam Edelman wedges.

I hope you lovelies are doing well! Unfortunately, my winter break is nearing its end and I'm trying to savor each moment before I have to go back. I can't believe my last semester at UC Berkeley is coming up!! I still remember being a freshmen in college. My first class at Cal was huge! 600 students in one classroom. I will miss you Cal. Sigh, bittersweet.
Have an amazing week ahead! Keep inspiring Beautifuls <3.

Think Pink.

Light pink Zara sweater, Gold HM necklace, Brown c/o Hobo International Candis crossbody bag, Tan American Apparel chiffon skirt, Tan Mark Report boots, Gold c/o Beginning Boutique bold ruler ring.

So recently received inspiration from one of my all-time style icons, Miss Audrey Hepburn herself...well, from one of her movies: Funny Face. A darling (her adjectives are catching on) movie about fashion in Paris (could it get any better?!), and when the opening song, "Think Pink" played, I thought a pink outfit would be nice for once.
And then enters this inspired outfit by all the big pink fiasco. I recently spotted this sweater back in stock on Zara, and after seeing it beautifully worn by Megan from Donatila Rose and Blair from Atlantic-Pacific, just had to get it. Dainty and sweet is what sums up this outfit. I craved sparkle too, and what better way to feed my hunger for sparkle with sparkly knits. Which btw, I am coveting one sparkly knit from H&M...something about being warm and sparkly for winter is what I'm loving at the moment :).

Happy Saturday and have a lovely rest of your weekend!!

Black&Blue.

Black H&M knit cropped sweater, Gold/black c/o Foxy Originals Estate necklace, Dark blue American Apparel shorts, Brown c/o Hobo International Candis crossbody bag, Silver H&M cuff, Gold F21 rings, Black Urban Outfitters boots.

Wanted to share with you three new additions to my closet I'm addicted to at the moment -- firstly two I got at H&M that embody edgy and tough, a style I'm leaning more towards nowadays. I got this cropped knit sweater that has this shine to it that makes it look like leather and I found this pretty silver cuff. Lastly, I received this beautiful necklace from Foxy Originals which reminded me so much of the House of Harlow one! Except the price is so much better for my wallet and I love it more because it's almost like a choker necklace, something I've been coveting for a while.
Paired off the outfit with colors I haven't experimented with in a while, black and blue combo..maybe reminiscent of Backstreet Boys Album? haha. Loving everything 90's at the moment.

Last week I modeled for a ModCloth photoshoot, which I'm super excited to show you all! I will definitely let you know once it's up on their site :). And this week, am modeling for another shoot with indiDenim! Can't wait to share it with you as well! :) Other exciting things happening, just started a new job at Urban Outfitters and loving it! Favorite trend there right now is 90's Grunge Romance..I'm addicted.

So excited to also announce the winner of the LUXLA Indian leather hex bracelet Giveaway I previously hosted on my blog! :) Congrats to Eliza from Run With Fashion! Can't wait to see you rock that bracelet! :)
Hope you all are having a great week so far! And apologize again for the lack of posts, due to work everyday, promise will try and schedule everything out so that posts will be up regularly again! Keep inspiring Beautifuls! :)

Grown-up.

White H&M blouse, Silver Forever 21 necklace, Brown gifted vintage leather Hobo International Candis crossbody bag, Tan Forever 21 suede shorts, Dark brown thrifted belt, Gold F21 rings, Ivory Zara suede wedges.

I've been a big fan of the brand See by Chloe for a long time now, and decided to create an outfit inspired by it along with hints of other little accessories that caught my eye. I love the soft feminine clean lines in any Chloe collection and wanted to include that by adding a soft sheer white blouse from H&M, suede F21 shorts, vintage leather Hobo International bag, and suede Zara wedges. This is a very grown-up outfit for me, I guess I am getting more mature with my choice in clothing...moving on from the junior section in H&M to the other side of the store is a big step lol.
I definitely have to say this is one of my faavorite go-to bags when I'm in a rush to leave and have every essential item handy in one bag -- the Candis Hobo International crossbody bag is perfect for that. It has little compartments for everything -- my wallet, keys, hand sanitizer (keepin' clean! :p), IDs, iPod.
I found these suede shorts at F21 along with this really cool silver almost tribal necklace. I love finding jewelry pieces that are so unique, glad I found this necklace. Btw, I'm lusting for this House of Harlow necklace at the moment! :p

Thought I'd take advantage of this post to also update you on what is happening in my life. I have sadly one more month left of summer until my final year at Cal starts! So sad how time flew by so quickly...my little brother the other day asked me about how AP Calculus was..sigh, I still remember being a senior in HS not too long ago. My 21st bday is coming up in September. I'm trying to apply for internships left and right, and finally figured out what I want to do in fashion after I graduate -- styling or visual merchandising.

Anyways, so glad to have you all here along for the ride and caan't wait to blog more this coming year, so many collaborations with many brands & companies! Stay tuned for lots of interesting posts to come! :)
Thank yous o much again lovelies for all the support and love. I hope you have an aamazing sunny fun weekend!
♥, Kathleen.
