Last post for 2011. I'll keep it short and sweet. 

2011 was such an incredible year, and putting all my hard work and love into this blog has been the greatest and most rewarding experience ever. Thank you lovelies so much for making this ride an amaazin' one. I cannot wait for 2012 and more with you all!

DNA (the shop): Pretty Little Thing NYC.

Wanted to share with you lovelies another photoshoot I did with DNA (the shop), designers+artists, a pop-up shop featuring the work of talented designers and artists.  I always have fun with these stylish ladies from DNA, and this time was a pretty cool concept behind the shoot.  They wanted to take photos somewhere around Berk and we decided on a vinyl record shop, Rasputin on Telegraph.  Couldn't have picked a better location than this one, screams edgy and fun which ties in perfectly when showcasing these aamazing jewelry pieces by Pretty Little Thing NYC to adorn collared shirts.  I am seriously hooked, and need all of them now.  Love them all, but I'd have to say my fave is this angel-wing 80's one: Zee Collar Pin.

If you're like me craving these beautifully-designed collar-pins and want them right-away, then you're in luck..DNA is having a holiday pop-up shop at Free Gold Watch in San Francisco for the next two weekends in December! jcpenney Maxim Magnetic Drinking Game set Holiday Giveaway!

Was given a chance to create an outfit inspired by a "girls night out theme," from jcpenney and decided this gold MNG by Mango cardigan with subtle sparkle was perfect for this -- especially lovely for Christmas/New Years time around the corner.  Of course, when you're out with the girls, a cute dress is a must -- I was ecstatic when I came across this Diane Von Furstenberg dress for only..$40!! at the recent Crossroads Holiday blogger party, I really have a big love for thrifting there.  And of course need to give a shoutout to Sherrie who told me to try it on, instantly fell in love with it after :).

Decided to add accents of gold with my all-time fave HM necklace (as you can tell lol).  And the Zara wedges add a unique flare to the outfit with the buckles.  To offset the gold, decided to wear a silver bracelet and rings.

Highlights.

Neon pink Zara knit sweater, Black thrifted belt, Gold H&M accessories, Yellow c/o JewelMint friendship bracelets, Tan Steve Madden Grettta heels.

Whenever I see a pink highlighter, I think of my Zara neon pink sweater.  In particular, I don't own any bright colored pieces, so just had to add this to my closet -- trying to fight off this gloomy weather with neon brights.  I love how it's slouchy and laidback, but decided to add shape to it with a belt.  Cute candy colors are what reminded me of the JewelMint friendship bracelets -- rightfully so, they are super sweet to give to your Besties ;).  I'm planning on sending two of them off to my best friends.

Pretending her leg was broken to get out of P.E. and going along with it, singing karaoke til our voices hurt, helping her hang ornaments on a blank Christmas tree, unexpectedly creating our hybrid alias name Kathenda and becoming sisters for life..are just a glimpse of what makes me thankful for my best friend.

Brenda has been one of my best friends since middle school.  Even though being apart in distance in college (her at UC Irvine and me at UC Berkeley), we still managed to keep in touch through not social networking or email sites, but out of all things MAIL. Our friendship makes our way and travels through California: letters, tote bags, and now friendship bracelets.  

Even until we're old wrinkly grannies laughing at each other, I know I can count on her for anything.  Kathenda sisters for life.
