Trunk show of their new Spring 2014 collection
Last Friday, I was invited to preview the Freda Salvador 2014 Spring Collection and to attend a mini field trip out to Sonoma Scribe Winery.  The event started right when we arrived at their Union St. flagship store -- was greeted by a chic model army wearing bejeweled face masks and beautiful shoes.  After viewing their current collection at their store and enjoying some breakfast including delicious pastries from Marla Bakery and juice from Pressed Juicery SF, we went on a bus to travel to Sonoma.  Inside there was also a surprise with small tin lunch boxes with snacks and the Freda Salvador logo labeled on top, was too cute!

I think the event was so successful because we were able to venture out of the city (what we're so used to) to instead an entirely new place, being Scribe Winery -- even better we enjoyed wine tasting on a beautiful Indian summer day and nature all around. The wine and chardonnay were so refreshing along with the pairing of cheese and bread (say cheese, and I'm always there).

After we previewed the new Spring 2014 collection, we were ready to try on the shoes! I ended up picking this black bootie with the black fabric contrast in the front and back.  I love how the boot also has side cut-outs and a mini heel for extra height but also comfort.  I loved the collection especially because it had unique patterns/prints: snake skin (in different colors, the blue was gorgeous) and fringe on some of the sandals.  All was completely wearable and I could see them fit in with my wardrobe perfectly.

A big thank you to Freda Salvador for this amazing event, it was probably one of the biggest highlights of my year.  Can't wait to see more from them as their designs are amazing!  Be sure to check out FredaSalvador.com for more of their shoes (in their current collection, they have some leopard booties I'm dying for too!).  Also, get to know the designers, Megan and Cristina, behind the brand more here.

Hope you lovelies have a great week ahead!

Kathleen

Autumn sun.

Camel Vintage turtleneck top, Gray F21 skirt, Brown thrifted belt, Black F21 oxford boots.

Was such a beautiful autumn day today, wasn’t too cold, but juust right :). I love the weather right now, despite that it rained quite a lot this past weekend. Wore a vintage turtleneck long-sleeve top, and my faav color right now for fall-wear! — camel! Also bought this past weekend a pair of F21 oxford boots! And they’re my faav! ah, i think i’m going to wear these a lot, they’re so lovely. I seriously always gravitate toward high-waisted things — whether it’s skirts or pants, i just always love them high up haha. And also who could forget a signature belt. Voila, an autumn outfit for a perfect fall day :).

Thank you once again to everyone for your sweet comments. I promise I will get back to them soon! Keep inspiring and being so creatively lovely in all your looks :).

Redlicious.

Red high waist American Apparel skirt, Gray DIY cropped t-shirt, Black GoJane lace-up combat boots, Silver F21 & courtesy of mom accessories.

Hi Lovelies! So today I actually entered the "Foundation of Style" contest by Purple Lab NYC in Chictopia.  Thought I'd share with you pieces I feel really are the foundation of my style. Here ya go ;):

My Foundation of Style has to definitely be the red lips I flaunt almost every day no matter what outfit I wear. I tend to wear not bright red lipstick, but a burgundy dark red. I feel it gives my whole look an edgy feel. And also, I don’t know if hair could be an accessory (lol), but I feel like my black hair and full bangs, is another part of my foundation of style. Along with that, I mostly wear belts to give my outfit a “fitted” and put-together look. And lastly for my Foundation, it would be my beloved rings — my hands always feel naked without them. I’m currently obsessed with rings haha. So overall, my personal style, although still developing, would be edgy meets girly, sophisticated, and eclectic.

A Purple Lab NYC item I would incorporate into my Foundation of Style is the “Huge Lips Skinny Hips” lip gloss plumper in “Red Sole,” because it not only complements my already signature style of wearing red lipstick, but also could add a new dimension by plumping my lips and creating a pretty & glam shine on top.

Also, on another note, today I actually did some shopping! Ah, so happy with my purchases! I visited the American Apparel in Berkeley, and bought two items:

First, the same style of socks I got before (ruffles on top) but this time in black and nude.  And second, a new skirt! The chiffon waist skirt in tan -- the material is amazing. That's what I always love about AA, is that you can find amazing fabrics in all their clothing, that you could freely mix and match to make classy and chic looks.  Can't wait to share with you my new purchases :).

Thank you again lovelies for all your sweet comments! And also thank you soo much for all my new and past followers, I seriously appreciate you all so much, and once I hit 100 followers, I'm definitely going to do a giveaway!  :). Hope all your weekends are going well btw! Now I'm off to visit your wonderful blogs and be inspired by your tres chic outfits ;).

Love, KC.
