Ok'd x Inspirafashion: Date-Night

Cobalt blue Lush lace dress via Nordstrom, White vintage Chanel purse, Dream bracelet and bow tie ring via Francesca's Colllections, Nude Steve Madden heels, Makeup: lashes via MAC.

Lovelies! I'm so excited to share with you a fun collaboration I did with Ok'd, an upcoming iPhone app which incorporates a simple and safe way to ask for or give money on your mobile device. I partnered with Ok'd for a fun mini shopping spree and to show you how it works!
When using Ok’d, you can walk into a store, snap a picture of an item, and send it to a parent, employer, friend, and ask them to pay for it. I was so amazed at how easy the steps were to use the app when walking into the store -- a very user-friendly app, which I really appreciate being an avid social media user.

Basically, the app generates a temporary prepaid credit card/barcode that can be shown to cashiers and redeemed at the point of purchase.  To see how it actually looks and works, we took some screen shots of the app along with using the app on the day.

1) Find what you want to buy. 2) Take a pic.

3) Create an ask. 4) Ask for money.

5) Get funded. 6) Tap redeem and get a temporary credit card.

7) Show cashier.

I decided it would be fun to have a theme for the items I bought for that day.  I picked "Date Night," and ended up styling this look - went for cool with the cobalt blue yet romantic with the lace.  I chose different items for this Date Night look -- including a lace dress from Lush I found at Nordstrom's, nude heels at Steve Madden, Dream bracelet and bow ring from Francesca's Collections, and makeup isn't complete without pretty lashes from MAC.

Hope you lovelies enjoyed this post!  Can't wait to hear what you guys bought with this app!  Feel free to tweet  and facebook us pictures of what you bought with Ok'd App! Happy shopping!! :)

P.S. Stay tuned for another post with Ok'd!  This time I'll be getting back into YouTube, so doing a video of how to use the app! The video will be posted next week. Can't wait to share :).

Kathleen

Classic tweed.

Tan tweed boyfriend jacket via Vintage Urban Renewal, Black vintage Dooney & Bourke purse, Ivory c/o 2020AVE cut out top, Gold c/o Francesca's Collections necklace, Light blue vintage Levis shorts, White Forever 21 ring, Black Urban Outfitters Kimchi Blue wedges.

It's been a while since my hair has been up, thought I'd have it in a bun for once ;P  When I first saw this jacket from Vintage Urban Renewal, I instantly fell in love with its lovely (and comfortable) boyfriend-fit along with the tweed material.  I decided to pair it with this really fun cut out top from 2020AVE and high-waisted vintage levis.  Excited to share too my new wedges I got from UO, they're so comfy and remind me of the Celine wedges I sadly cannot afford -- but these are close enough! :)  I also love the Francesca's Collections necklace -- the fringe adds a nice boho feel.  And to add to the classiness of this outfit, I have my vintage Dooney and Bourke purse I scored from the Alameda vintage faire.

I hope you lovelies are doing well!  One more day and the weekend is here!!  Keep inspiring loves with your amazing posts, and Happy Thursday!

The Great Gatsby.

Light blue Forever 21 blouse, Blue c/o Francesca's Collections necklace, Tan Urban Outfitters BDG mid-rise skinny jeans, Dark blue Out of Print The Great Gatsby tote via ModCloth, Tan Steve Madden Grettta heels, Ivory F21 & HM bracelets.

Something I'm very excited about for Spring is colored denim -- these tan denim jeans is a good start to my growing collection.  Am coveting a mint and lilac pair next.  I've noticed too, that once I get hooked on a certain style or aspect of fashion, previously were cropped knit sweaters, I end up buying a lot of it.  Now something new to add to my bad fashion habits.
Decided to wear a fun outfit.  Thought of giving my Great Gatsby tote some love on my blog :)..it's definitely such a cute and unique tote (aand one of my all-time fave books).  Btw, are you excited for the new Great Gatsby movie?? Altho far away, can't wait to see Carey Mulligan as Daisy! :)
Paired off the denim with my Steve Madden heels which are definitely one of my most comfortable heels.  Thought of wearing the F21 blouse with my Francesca's Collections necklace which makes the blouse look even more chic.

P.S. I entered my blog in the Refinery 29 next big style blogger contest.  Would mean so much to me if you could vote for me :).  Vote here:

Changing Lanes.

Morning Beautifuls!!  I think my style is ever-evolving, but this outfit sums up what I love..comfort is #1 and secondly, adding pretty feminine touches to the outfit is my fave part with accessories..aka, the Rebecca Minkoff circle quilt M.A.B. mini, Steve Madden Grettta heels, and HM gold necklace.
I found this beautiful jacket in the sale section of Urban Outfitters -- so I went to work early one day and bought it, it's superrr warm and just the right fit, I'm seriously loving all Urban Renewal items.

In addition, the Levis I purchased at the $9.99 sale at the Urban in Berk ;), which is amazingly comfy, I love the idea behind curve ID too!  Lastly, I seriously have to say the striped tee from Francesca's Collections is so soft and so form-fitting, I'm loving the high-low hem.
Something exciting too is happening at Francesca's Collections -- keep on a look out for the launch of their mobile site on December 1st, Thursday, where you can now shop at FC right on your phone!  There will also be a big promo going on that day! :)

This year has gone by so fast, and now we're soon approaching Thanksgiving.  And although I don't celebrate it technically by eating turkey (I'm a pescetarian :p), words cannot explain how much I appreciate you as my readers.  And..if there is something at the very top of my list for things to be thankful for, it of course would be you lovelies!!!  I really want to do a personal giveaway this Thanksgiving, so keep on a look out ;)..gotta search for the perfect item.
Have a lovely week ahead Beautifuls!

Golden rose.

Tan Urban Outfitters Sparkle & Fade cropped sweater, Gold c/o Francesca's Collections rosette skirt, Ivory vintage Chanel bucket bag, Gold F21 accessories, Tan Report Marks ankle boots.

Hi Beautifuls!  So happy to be back with another outfit post :).  This outfit basically was perfect for the strange weather we've been having lately, it gets very warm then super cold, so why not mix a comfy warm cropped sweater with a skirt for when it unexpectedly becomes hot.  I wanted to capture last bits of sun before we are deeper into fall and close to winter.  This gorgeous rosette skirt from Francesca's Collections is perfect for just that.  Added my new (as you can tell I cant get enough of Chanel) vintage Chanel bucket bag, recently added to my collection of now two Chanel items.  I know this one is a replica, but it was too pretty to pass up (esp because it has lots of space inside!).
Excuse also my little mouse ears, they peek out once in a while lol.  I also wanted to share with you my new obsession for adorned on my feet almost every day now..the Report Marks ankle boots, finally something I am completely happy with that reminds me of Isabel Marant's Dicker boot.  And they're insanely comfy to walk around UCB hilly campus with.

Exciting post too, because I get to share with you who the winner is (using random.org) for the recent $50 giveaway contest I hosted with jcpenney for Call It Spring's new fall collection.  Happy to announce Yasmeen from Castle Fashion as the winner!!  Congrats girl!  Check out her lovely polyvore set here.
And thanks so much again loves for entering, your sets were so creative & serious eye candy.  I was inspired by each one so much.  Keep a look out for more fun giveaways coming up on the blog soon!
I hope you're all having a fun, stress-free week so far, hang in there, it's almost friiidaaayy! ;) (no Rebecca Black intended lol).
P.S. Don't forget for when you shop at Francesca's Collections by the end of this month, use the promo code 'INSPIRA' to get 30% off any single item! :)
