Santa Monica Dreamin'.

Day #3 of my LA Trip a few weeks ago, had the chance to have my first LA blogger meet-up w/ the lovely Crystal of Cryskay.com. My roomie, Kaylie also came to hang out as well.  We visited the beeeautiful city of Santa Monica..all the sights, blue-skies, and white sand..if only I can stay and lounge there all summer long :p.
There were the cutest set of beach houses..looks like even houses know how to color-block ;). The pink and purple one was my fave, barbie-like.
And of course, had to take a pic of the infamous LA traffic :P.
Ate at a sushi-boat restaurant back in Old Town, Pasadena with Kaylie later on.  Looved it!  I am on a quest to find an equivalent restaurant here in the bay area.  If you know of any, please tell me! :)
We found this huuge smurf thing (k, don't blame me, I forgot what they are called! lol) in the middle of the shopping center in SM.  We couldn't help but take funny pics in front of it...picking its nose :P.
One day, I will invite you all to my pretty beach house in Santa Monica :)..a girl can dream right?
P.S. Check out Crystal's blog post on our SM trip too!

City of Angels Day 2

Day #2 of my LA trip.  I visited a total of 4 places in just one-day, so was very excited and thrilled to get to see so much of LA in one day.  I hung out with blogger Deanna of A California Dreamer and she was super sweet to show me around her turf ;p.  Started off the day with some deelicious brunch at Blu Jam Cafe.  Warning: the french toast photo will make you very very hungry. :)
The cafe was on Melrose, so walked around the area to different shops, including Wasteland, Slow Vintage, Crossroads, and Urban Outfitters.  LOVED thrifting there, wish I could take Melrose with me ;p.
Afterwards, drove to Venice beach!  And I must tell you, I was SOO happy to see the beautiful beach and blue skies.  I rarely get to see these kind of beaches in the bay area, so it was a veryy nice change.
The beach houses were to-die-for.  One day, I will own one..and everyday will look out my bedroom window to beautiful beach scenery :).
Walked along Venice beach and visited diff little shops..and doing what bloggers do best, brought out our big DSLRs to take photos :).
After hanging out with Deanna, met up again w/ my roomie and her bf, for reservations at a cute gourmet french restaurant, Comme Ca in west hollywood.
Later that night, we visited the CityWalk at Universal Studios, def really cool to see at night with all the lights.
Whew, and thaat was my entire Day 2 at LA.  Definitely had a fun time visiting all these places with great company, thx so much Deanna for showing me around!  And once again thx to my roomie for bringing me everyywhere.  This makes me miss LA, we will meet again city of angels.

Thank you so much again beautifuls for all the support on my blog, it really means a lot to have you all as aamazing inspirational readers.  Hope you had a lovely week and TGIF!! I'm going to attend on Friday the F3 art, fashion, and craftsmanship event at Oakland Cotton Mill! w/ other bay area bloggers.
PS. Next LA trip post will be on my first LA blogger meet-up :).

Rodeo Drive, baby.

About 2 weeks ago, I visited my roommate Kaylie, for my trip to LA..and there were soo many places/things to do packed in just those 6 days -- in reality, the things I did should've been spread out in a span of 2 weeks lol.  But, thanks so much to my sweetest roomie for showing me around LA!  Enjoy this photo overload of my LA trip..first day there! :)
We first stopped by The Grove, an outdoor shopping area.  First off, I just need to say that the weather there although really hot..I looved it lol.  Just coming from windy/semi-cold bay area weather, it was a nice change! :)
We visited the Farmer's Market inside the grove, and there were all these really cute shops with miniature tea pots and cupcakes..and better yet, cute little animal candles! lol
We ate at the famous italian restaurant, Andre's..their spaghetti was superr delish, and loved the sign on how important Pizza really is ;p.
Next, visited Rodeo Drive.  First time visiting!  And of course reminded me of Pretty woman, the inspiration behind the title of this post :).  It was so pretty and couldn't exactly buy anything at the stores (I have to wait until I'm a millionaire for that), but I enjoyed walking around the beautiful area :).

Visited this cute chocolate shop that sold Eiffel Tower chocolate sticks.
There was even this little alley way, felt like I was in another country even.
Then later, visited also Robertson Blvd. (other place with lots of shops) and not photographed here, Beverly Center (a big mall with lots shops on every floor).  Whew, tiring talking about what i did..imagine how tired i was lol.  We ended up going to like 3 or 4 parking garages and it was the most I walked ever in a longg time. We saw a billboard sign that summed up our day perfectly -- "Eat, Shop, Love."

Stay tuned for more posts on my LA trip! :)
Tonight am attending the Sneakpeeq "Sip and Sample" sample sale event in sf w/ Chanda of PancakeStacker and Cindy of Design3rd.  Hope you're all having a great week so far lovelies!
