Adore Me: 3 Outfits Inspired by the 'Estella' Set

When I found this 'Estella' bra and panty set from Adore Me, a NYC based women's intimates brand, I instantly loved it -- for one, it was pink (which was perfect for the girly part of my style), and second, it had these gorgeous floral lace details.  The best part though for me was the price of the set (especially trying to stay on a budget..gotta watch out for my shopaholic self).  By far I haven't seen a site yet with not only great value on lingerie, but also better yet amazing quality.  I love how their site also has options for swimsuits and sleepwear.  If you haven't yet, definitely take a look at their collections, you'll see styles from super sexy, sweet and cute, to romantic and classy.

For a fun review of the Estella set, I decided to create three different looks you can wear with the set in addition to being inspired by the hot pink and white lace combo itself.  Hope you lovelies enjoy these inspired sets I created.  Along with the main theme of my blog, thought it was appropriate to mix inspiration and fashion together once again! :)

Inspired by the white lace, for this romantic look I decided to pair a mini lace dress with hot pink suede heels.  And for the cuteness factor, a winky clutch was necessary.

For this Rocker Glam look, I wanted to keep it edgy with the studs by pairing pointy pink studded heels with a structured black crossbody.  The black lace skirt was inspired again by the lace in the Adore Me set.

Lastly, for fun I wanted to create a sporty chic look.  Here I threw in the pink-white color combo once more with the sunnies and casual comfy tee.  I accessorized with this classy and sophisticated lace clutch, adding a fun twist to the sporty sleek outfit.  I love mixing pieces that sometimes are very different in style, but can mesh well with use of one color palette, here being black.

Can't believe Labor Day weekend is already almost here! I'm definitely going to use this time to relax but of course still try to squeeze in lots of fun :).  I'm visiting Reno for a mini vacation with the fambam.
I hope you have an amazing three! day weekend ahead.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: SHN Broadway Show Recap

I recently had the great opportunity to attend the newest SHN Broadway musical, "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" at the Orpheum theatre, and to take a sneak-peek in the behind the scenes making of the show's beautiful wardrobe.  Also in great company with fellow SF bloggers, we went backstage right before the show with Gillian Austin, wardrobe supervisor of Priscilla, who gave us a wonderful tour to view the musical's out-of-this-world costumes (they were amazing!).  First up we saw the cupcake costumes.  They described creating the cupcakes out of venetian blinds to use as the cupcake holders -- I loved how they were super creative in the design process.  We found out too some of the head-pieces the characters wear surprisingly weigh about 8 pounds, pretty heavy -- and imagine they wear it while dancing all over stage..aand in heels!  I think one of my favorite costumes they showed were the paint brushes -- really cute, pink, and even with a matching paint hat.  Okay, and I can't forget about the Barbie print blazer -- amazing and I wish I had that too.
After going backstage, we played around with their fun high-tech photobooth in the lobby.  I loved the idea of projecting the photos on the wall to make the show more interactive with the audience.  Time flew and the show started -- it was such a fun, colorful and vibrant musical.  I loved how all the songs were not only catchy but also brought me back to when I was a little girl (my mom used to play these songs on repeat, loved these) -- some of them being Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and Madonna's "Material Girl."  The biggest highlight of course of the show were all the drag queens -- the feathers, sequins, glitter, and sassy attitudes really made the show stand-out resulting in such a fun diva atmosphere.
I'd like to give a big shoutout and thank you to SHN for hosting such a fun event, had an amazing time!!  Hope you lovelies enjoyed this recap post and definitely if you haven't yet and you're in the SF area, visit the Orpheum theatre and enjoy Priscilla the musical!

Fall forward.

Blue vintage Tommy Hilfiger jean jacket, Black Zara skirt, Brown crossbody bag c/o Hobo Bags, Brown leopard Steve Madden sandal heels, Gold vintage Chanel pin, Arm candy: Fossil watch c/o boyfriend, White bracelet and bow ring c/o Charlotte Russe, Gold statement bracelet c/o Wear It: Don't Bear It.

Fall is fast approaching, and sadly summer is ending :(, but at least I have Fall fashion to look forward to ;), which is my favorite season to dress up for.  I love all the layers, the darker colors, sweaters, prints, etc.  With this outfit I decided to style a comfortable casual outfit with my denim jacket, new Zara skirt (I love the shape of it) along with adding some cool leopard print with my Steve Madden heels.

For jewelry, necessities come with my arm candy, which also includes a new piece -- a charm statement bracelet by Wear It: Don't Bear It.  I recently partnered with the founder, Toby Milstein, who told me about her amazing project, Wear It: Don't Bear It.  It's such an inspiring effort -- the campaign gives back and supports families affected by gun-violence tragedies.
When you purchase this charm, 100% of the profits go to Bereaved Parents of the USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents and families who have lost their children.  I love how she combined fashion and humanitarianism into one initiative to bring a heartfelt yet powerful way to help pay it forward in our community.  Please check out Wear It: Don't Bear It here, and the shop -- help create positive change by making a statement :).

Inspirafashion x pancakeSTACKER + LuLu*s Outside Lands 2013 Recap #lulusatOL

We came, we saw, we conquered..at Outside Lands 2013 with LuLu*s!  Spending the entire weekend, three-days at OL this year was really such a memorable, fun, and amazing experience.  I was so happy to collaborate with my partner in crime, Chanda and team up with LuLu*s on an instagram take-over to give you an inside peek of this year's fest!

Day one, we took an obligatory Wind Mills pic, enjoyed the sounds of Band of Horses, Rhye, Pretty Lights, and ended the night with Yeasayer and Paul McCartney.  Ultimately my favorite band was Rhye, the addition of a violin just makes the music so intriguing and not to mention the lead singer's voice is out of this world beautiful.

Day two, I had my first try of crispy mac and cheese (freakin' amazing!).  Gave away some amazing LuLu*s prizes throughout the weekend to fashionable festival-goers.  Saw memorable sets like Young the Giant, Nine Inch Nails, Grizzly Bear, Baauer, and Phoenix.
Day three, we danced our hearts away to Vampire Weekend, Hall & Oates, Emeli Sande, and appropriately ended the entire weekend with an amazing show by Red Hot Chili Peppers.  In between everything we visited different tents -- got free ice cream, took photobooth pics (our favorite), and ate a LOT of delicious food (funnel cake, banh mi sandwiches, and yummy mozzarella spinach pizza, just to name a few).
Just wanted to thank again LuLu*s for an amazing opportunity to cover Outside Lands 2013 and to share our #MheerKat adventures on their instagram with everyone.  We had a blast all weekend!!  Thank you also lovelies for sharing in our #LuLusatOL feed on Instagram!  We hope you enjoyed the weekend! xoxo

P.S. Big congrats to the winner of the LuLu*s Festival Re-gram Contest, Laura! Thanks everyone who entered!

DAAME x Inspirafashion Style Feature and $25 Giveaway!

Yellow Theory knit sweater, Metallic skirt c/o Crossroads Trading, Brown Karen Walker Super Duper Strength sunnies, Red bracelet gifted by Kurt Geiger, Brown Fossil watch c/o the boyfriend, Light brown Zara heels, Cheetah print c/o DAAME clutch.

Lovelies! So glad to share with you a recent feature I collaborated with DAAME(pronounced 'dame'), a life-loving group with a rebellious spirit. They design bags in collaboration with their online members who personally choose features and curate bags and accessories they'd love to purchase. They're driven by a singular passion – to educate girls in need and change the world’s future for the better. A portion of every purchase goes toward their nonprofit partners who provide services and education for girls in need.

With DAAME, we decided to do a fun style their new clutch in two ways. With the post, I share how I style their new fold-over cheetah print clutch. In addition to how I style it, they've also partnered with my BBFF ("Best Blogger Friend Forever") Chelsea from the blog, Zipped. It was so appropriate to collaborate with us, as we've been virtual "pen-pals" over the years ever since we first started our blogs.

In addition, I partnered with them on a "Bag Snoop" feature on which they took a look inside my bag for fun daily essentials. Can't wait to share with you the rest of it soon!

I decided to style the DAAME cheetah clutch with different textures -- knit sweater, metallic tweed skirt, and leather heels. I love mixing textures as well as complementing with neutral colors, browns and yellows. For accessories, I added my gold and red bracelets along with a brown Fossil watch my boyfriend lovingly let me borrow ;). And to top it off with my trusty Karen Walker sunnies.
